Just home after an amazing trip to Norway,Berlin and the Swiss Alps!
Norway was Jeff and Auds wedding which was awesome, then we caught a few crew in Berlin for all of about 24hours!! Hi Steve :) Then.....8 days climbing in the Alps :D

Climbing over the Christmas break

Brenton and I will be heading down to Bremer Bay for NYE. We're leaving Perth on the 27th Dec, stopping at West Cape Howe for a night or two (climbing with Shannon I think), heading to Bremer for festivities, and hoping to come back, on the 2nd Jan via the Ponrongarups or Stirling Range (Brenton?), to do a multi-pitch route (14 I think - ok for me!).
If you're keen to join us for any section (or the whole thing) let us know. We're either camping (swag) or staying in (near) a house in Bremer (swag).

I'm moving overseas so I need to get rid of a heap of stuff, including my climbing gear......

1 x Mammut Dynamic Rope – 60m (10mm thick) with rope bag $140

6 x Wild Country Oxygen Quickdraws (Blue, 10cm) $15ea

1 x Set Black Diamond Nut Set (sizes 4-13, 10 pieces) with racking carabiner $90

All this gear is in very good condition. The rope has heaps of life left in it and hasn’t seen any big falls (it's been used for indoor and outdoor leads). The nuts and blue quickdraws have barely been used (I’m pretty sure they’ve never been fallen on).

Feel free to make an offer on any of this stuff or take the whole lot for $400. (I’ll even chuck in the “West Australian Rock” guide book). This is a great set-up for anyone looking to start climbing outdoors/sports climbing.

Albany Trip

Shannon is arranging a few crew to go climbing in the Albany region from the 27th Dec to about the 2nd Jan. All the major areas will be covered (West Cape Howe, Peak Head etc) so if anyone is keen it will be good to see you there!!!

Climbing Movie Night Saturday, 14th November

Hey all. Elaine (another local climber) sent out the following invitation...

On Saturday 14 November at 7pm, we're going to Dwellingup for a climbing movie night at the Dwellingup Community Hall (right in the middle of town).
Movies will be shown on a full size movie screen. There will be two movies – one will be Touching the Void for the general public, then a mashup of some of the best (real) climbing movies of all time for the rest of us. The cost of entry is $10.
We are also planning to have a BYO BBQ at Phil’s parents place beforehand - around 5pm, please let us know if you are interested and we’ll send you the address (it’s also in Dwellingup).
Finally, Phil’s parents backyard is big enough to hold a large number of tents and they’ve kindly offered that anyone can pitch there for the night – we will be and everyone else is welcome as well.
On the day after (Sunday), we also plan to head out climbing around Pinjarra or some of the other southerly climbing areas.
